Does HyreToday check that tradespeople are qualified?

No. HyreToday is a directory, not a vetting service, and it does not employ or guarantee anyone listed. Some profiles carry a Verified badge, which means HyreToday has seen a document supporting a qualification — it is not an endorsement. Always ask for credentials and insurance before work starts.

How do I check an electrician is registered in Ireland?

Electrical work in Ireland must be certified by a Registered Electrical Contractor. Safe Electric Ireland keeps the public register at safeelectric.ie, searchable by name or registration number. Ask for the number before work starts, not after.

How do I check a gas installer is registered?

Gas work in Ireland must be carried out by a Registered Gas Installer. The register is published by RGII at rgii.ie, searchable by name or number. Using an unregistered installer for gas work is illegal.

How much does a tradesperson cost in Ireland?

It depends on the trade, the job and the county. On HyreToday every professional publishes their own rates — most by the hour — and the rate is shown on the profile before you contact them.
